Easy Seafood Stir Fry

This dish was cooked by my husband. My husband loves to cook and luckily he can do all kinds of food from the simplest to the most complex. I could also say how lucky I am for that, but it’s really a natural thing for us. Just like we cook everything from scratch. In Hungary, there are dishes that are traditionally (mostly) only cooked by men, such as in a goulash (beef stew) cauldron on open fire.

Actually, cooking this Stir Fry dish is not a complicated thing, in fact it is very simple. However, this kind of food was more new to me. I haven’t eaten anything like this yet. In Hungary, we ate everything with potatoes, rice or pasta. (Maybe obesity and diabetes aren’t a coincidence?) Now that we don’t eat pasta or rice on Keto, we even eat potatoes only moderately, so we have to eat more other vegetables. This dish is the best way not to make side dish with rice and eat lot of different vegetables at the same time.

It is very easy to cook. In a Teflon pan steam the cleaned and chopped vegetables with spices.  We don’t have to cook soft, let our teeth work as well.

In another pan steam the garlic with the seafood.  Cooking for a few minutes is enough too.

Finally, mix the steamed seafood and vegetables in a larger pan and your stir fry is done. I may not have come across a simpler food yet. Simple, delicious and healthy because crispy vegetables are still full of vitamins.

Serving it doesn’t require much imagination or care either. I think this dish will be one of my favorite dishes. It can be prepared in many variations, with many different meats and different spices. There will be not a bored food.

    Directions

    Step 1

    Clean vegetables and cut green beans and carrot into short pieces.

    Step 2

    Cut the broccoli into small pieces.

    Step 3

    Cut the bell peppers into small squares.

    Step 4

    Roast the chopped garlic on butter.

    Step 5

    Add spices into the garlic.

    Step 6

    Add the seafood mix into the pan. Set aside after a few minutes of frying.

    Step 7

    Start steaming the vegetables in a bigger pan on a little butter with the carrot pieces because they need more time than others.

    Step 8

    After a few minutes also put the green beans and red onions into the pan.

    Step 9

    Simmer the carrots, beans and onions together for a few minutes.

    Step 10

    Finally put the broccoli into the pan and fry them together more 3-4 minutes. Spice them to taste.

    Step 11

    Mix the fried seafood with fried vegetables and serve it on a plate.
