The Dandelion: Weed or Herb?
For most people, dandelions mean nothing more than annoyance right in the middle of the lawn. Unfortunately, people living in cities have moved so far away from nature that they are unaware of the beneficial effects of this plant. However, dandelions are not only the first spring eye-catching yellow flower field, but also one of the best known and most useful plants in folk medicine. My grandmother used all parts of the dandelion regularly in Hungary. She put the dandelion leaf in a salad and made tea, coffee, drink or syrup from its flower and root.
Benefits of Dandelion
In this recipe, I don’t want to go into more detail about the sea of positive effects that you should know about dandelions. Anyone can find this information anywhere on the Internet. However, what makes dandelions important to me is happy to share with you.
Consuming the bitter juice of dandelions can naturally cleanse the liver and bile, resulting in improved fat processing capacity of these organs. This is important for those who follow a keto diet, as the keto diet contains 75% fats and oils.
